Horizontal shredders are used to process end-of-life vehicles, major household appliances and other household items, as well as mixed lightweight scrap metal. Ferrous and non-ferrous items are separated from other materials (shredding residue). DANIELI LYNX offers complete shredding installations with drive power from 800 HP to 10 000 HP, for outputs from 8 to 330 t/h. The shredder housing is very well protected by abrasion-proof plates. The shredded material is discharged via two grids. The rotors have protective caps. The hammer replacement procedure is especially well designed. Downstream intense sorting of ferrous metals can be offered.
