The DAT 3016 is a remote I/O module manufactured by Datexel. It ensures accuracy and a stable measure against time and temperature, with the use of a 16-bit converter. The module can operate under heavy environmental conditions, with its 2000 V AC isolation between input, power supply and serial line eliminating the ground-loop effects. The device can acquire up to 4 analog input signals, and can connect thermocouples with voltage signals up to +/- 1V and Tc configurable input. Data values are transferred with MODBUS RTU/ASCII protocol on the RS-485 network. The DAT 3016 conforms with the Directive 2004/108/EC on electromagnetic compatibility. It permits high density mounting on EN-50022 standard DIN rail due to its rough self-extinguishing plastic container, with a thin profile measuring 17.5mm.
