The main features of the VA-2 vacuum circuit breakers with lateral drive for indoor use are: - housing in epoxy resin, with secured ventilation fins. It can be used in the most extreme climatologic conditions (IEC 60932, meth. A); - design and construction in conformity with ISO 9001 IEC-type tested; - completely maintenance-free; - provided with spring-loaded drive mechanism. Two versions are available at the moment, each available for different nominal voltages (12/17, 5/24 kV), breaking capacities (20/25 kA) an nominal current (800/1.250 A): - VA-2: vacuum circuit breaker with side actuator; - VA-2RP: vacuum circuit breaker with side actuator and integrated protection relay (RP600); VA-2RP, vacuum circuit breaker with integrated protection relay The VA-2RP vacuum circuit breaker with side actuator is provided with an integrated, digital protection relay RP600 made by Deba n.v. The most important features (in addition to those of the standard VA-2): - replaces an existing MV circuit breaker with direct relay, without any problem; - digital protection with multiple characteristics; - power supply by (integrated) current transformers, which may be installed on the left or on the right of the pole columns, as desired; - mechanically tighten tripping coil at the end of the tripping operation of the circuit breaker.
