Hitachi quarry and mining sized excavators are known worldwide. Models include the EX1200, EX1900, EX2500, EX3600, and the EX5500. A new, even larger model will be announced at MINExpo 2004. Hitachi quarry and mining excavators are available in both front shovel and backhoe configurations.
