Lutex® Clutch/Brake Combination HKB
The wet-running, multi-disc clutch/brake combinations are built into presses, guillotines or similar machines, if certain requirements have to be met such as:
* High rotary speed and torque,
* Virtually wear-free operation
* Shortest braking angle
The clutch is engaged when oil pressure reaches 60 bar and features high temperature resistance and high switching precision.
If the switching valve is opened, the brake is spring-operated. Short switching times and very low angular momentum permit very small braking angles. This means that reliable and economic use is possible at high speeds too.
The HKB can be specially cooled by a separate oil flow. Within certain limits, this enables the number of revolutions and switching operations to be increased. For dimensioning and optimum adjustment to the respective conditions of use, design calculations are made.
The HKB series is a non-overlapping, low-maintenance construction. Torques from 3 kNm to 250 kNm can be transmitted.
