LKB, LKBplus and LS
The dry running KBKs were especially developed to drive presses, guillotines or similar machines. Their area of use is predominantly in continuous operation in the medium torque range. The clutch is engaged when the air pressure reaches 5.5 to 6 bar and it features a high temperature range and low air consumption. If the switching valve is opened, the brake is spring-operated. Short switching times and very low angular momentum enable very small braking angles. This is a prerequisite for reliable and economic use at high speeds. The split brake discs enable easy changes of worn friction discs, without having to dismantle the KBK. All constructions offer a large variety of options in mounting the friction discs. The joint between the clutch hub and the shaft can created using keys or a clamp set.
The seriesLKB and LKBplus are tried-and-tested, low-maintenance constructions which can transmittorques of 250 Nm to 165,000 Nm. LKB und LKBplus support the most standard connection sizes and are interchangeable with many other makes.
The LS series offers highest torques in the smallest space. Due to the intermeshing between piston and hub, the LS is particularly suitable for the transmission of alternating torques. Torques from 600 Nm to 52,000 Nm can be transmitted.
