The Deutschmann UNIGATE Gateway connects devices, such as automation components via their serial interface (RS232, RS485, RS422, SSI) with CANopen networks. With it the UNIGATE takes over the task of a Protocol Converter and converts the different interfaces. Marketable standard protocols, such as Modbus ASCII, Modbus RTU (Master or Slave), RK 3964, RK 3964R, Universal 232, Transparent mode and many more can be set by means of a simple configuration via the PC-tool WINGATE. The UNIGATE CL CANopen is exceptionally flexible and powerful because of its Script ability and it is suitable for requirements that go beyond the standard protocols or for the conversion of your own protocols. This Script is generated with the free PC-tool Protocol Developer and it is optimally adapted to the final product and requirements of the CANopen-Master. No changes have to be made in the final product’s firmware.
