The QR40 series Tacho sensor is based on a magnetic angle sensor. Instead of giving an output for the absolute angle, the Tacho sensor gives an analog output for the rotation speed. DIS can deliver the QR40 in 2 mechanical versions, with integrated axle or with an external magnet.
Especially the version with external magnet offers a big advantage where mechanical ware is an issue, as it is a completely non-contact solution (electric and mechanically). Output options are: Analog voltage or current, and a switching output for min/max speed control.
