Sealed NEMA 4X-compliant stainless steel enclosure has no external vents. This protects its components from dust, dirt, moisture, oil, chemicals, and other external contaminants.

Closed-loop thermal management system, including a bi-planar finned aluminum heat exchanger, keeps internal operating temperatures low—even in extreme ambient heat—without using outside air.

Shock and vibration isolation are provided at two levels: on the entire chassis and in the drive bay, allowing PC installation in severe vibration environments. Also, the add-in cards are protected by a patented card hold-down system that prevents movement of installed add-in cards and intermittent failures, while allowing easy field upgrades.
