Plasma welding head

DINSE PLASMA welding/brazing system
The suitable alternative for galvanized plates

PLASMA arc welding has developed from the TIG procedure. Whereas during TIG welding, the arc burns freely between a non-melting tungsten electrode and the workpiece, during PLASMA welding and brazing it is additional constricted or bundled by a nozzle and gas flow. This ensures
less divergence and high speed upon exit from the Plasma nozzle. An energy-rich arc column is produced. The constricted beam of Plasma transfers the energy directly into the workpiece, the weld pool remains small, the zones of thermal influence are narrow and distortion slight. At the same time, the PLASMA arc tolerates larger changes in distance between the torch and workpiece.
The torch design protects the tungsten electrode against contamination whilst brazing of galvanized plates. A copper-based filler wire with a low melting point (compared to steel) can be used.
The galvanized surface is not therefore burnt and does not have to be re-galvanized afterwards.
The complete PLASMA equipment consists of processing head, wire feeder and the system components. The very compact Plasma head sits on the tried and tested sensor-controlled DINSE PUSH-PUSH wire drive. DINSE's compact GREENline wire-feed system conveys the wire powerfully and stably out of the spool holder and into the welding fitting. System components include the PLASMA power source, shock sensor and tool changing station.
