Partial discharge monitor
PD-Guard & PD-Guard/UHF
Doble Lemke
The Doble PD monitoring systems PD GUARD & PD-Guard/UHF are especially developed for continuous partial discharge monitoring of high voltage equipment, like power transformers, GIS or cable systems.
The PD-Guard is available in two configurations: the traditional PD-Guard for measuring electrical transients up to 2 MHz and the PD-Guard/UHF which is working in the UHF frequency range.
Applications PD-Guard:
* Rotating Machines (Generators or Motors) --> "MachineGuard"
* Transformers via bushing tap method
* HV cable joints
Applications PD-Guard/UHF:
* Gas-insulated switchgear (GIS)
* HV cable terminations --> "TerminationGuard"
* Transformers ---> "TransformerGuard"
Features and Benefits
* Rugged, compact and light-weight. The PD-Guard in combination with an outdoor cabinet complies with IP65 industry standards and can survive the harshest environments.
* Maintenance-free operation. The PD-Guard has nearly no weak points due to no mechanical moving parts (e.g. no hard disks, no fans).
* Scalable. The PD-Guard can act as the central hub to one or several (up to 12) PD-Guard monitors.
* Bult-in Alarm function with pre-defined alarm levels (PD magnitude, PD repetition rate or PD current). The treshold level and treshold time can be adjusted separately.
* Automatic default setting (attenuation, filters ...) in the PD Guard after a power interruption before the network communication to the data acquisition server is re-established
* PD signal and low frequency synchronisation signal on same signal path (only one cable needed)
