Collimator for fiber optics Doric Lenses

Fiber-optic collimator lenses are made from high index glass to ensure low aberration. A solid spacer is used between the fiber and the lens to ensure a compact and robust collimator package.

Standard collimators are optimized for telecom applications, but can be adjusted to other wavelengths/applications. Optical Fiber These collimators are plano-convex spherical lenses to collimate light from singlemode fibers. The angled flat side of these lenses assures low back reflection when put in contact with an optical fiber. The curved side, due to high refractive index material, provides remarkable imaging capabilities. Those can be used for fiber-optic switches, DWDMs, fiber-optic attenuators, optical isolators and other applications. Optical Fiber Aspheric These aspheric collimators are similar to the spherical version to collimate light from optical fibers, except than the curved side is an aspheric surface optimized to improve collimation.
