The tool presetter option allows an optical comparator to be used as a presetting device as well as a measurement device. Tools can be inspected for concentricity, insert alignment, damage, wear, surface finish or physical size. This option is available as a decidated benchtop machine or can be a separate option added to larger machines.

Tools can be loaded vertically (as shown above) or can be mounted horizontally to accomodate long tools
Gravity, manual spring, pneumatic or hydraulic tool locking options
Tool pot rotates 360°
Surface illumination and or profile illumination can be used to view parts
