The cut­ting ma­chine must keep up with the speed of the roll form­ing. Often pro­files must be passed to down­stream processes. And above all the costs per cut must re­main within closely de­fined spec­i­fi­ca­tions. It is not pos­si­ble to bring all of these re­quire­ments under one roof using a stan­dard ma­chine. Nu­mer­ous tech­ni­cal so­lu­tions are re­quired. Prior to the se­lec­tion of a so­lu­tion, the task must be care­fully analysed. Dreis­tern en­gi­neers know this and only se­lect one of the many pos­si­ble tech­ni­cal so­lu­tions once they have found the best for their cus­tomer. Their task is made eas­ier by the nu­mer­ous proven so­lu­tions that Dreis­tern has avail­able. This state­ment ap­plies equally to the se­lec­tion of the cut­ting process, whether saw­ing, shear­ing, punch­ing or a spe­cial cut­ting process, and to im­por­tant de­sign de­tails on the cut­ting ma­chine, e.g. ad­just­ment or pro­file and pipe clamp­ing fea­tures.
