Two-piece split spools for line shaft conveyors are an excellent alternative to one line-shaft spool pulleys. They allow replacement of spools without disassembling the conveyor, reducing labor and conveyor downtime. Rep spools are standard size and green spools are speed-up size. Both fit in TGW Ermanco’s spool connectors. Precise fitting of two parts leaves no bumps that abrade line-shaft belts. High concentricity allows perfect rotation that in turn reduces rolling resistance, saves energy and increases drive belt life. Alignment notches on split spool permits quick installation even in dark. The tight snap-fit joining without screws for tightening keeps the two parts tightly closed without falling off shaft.
