DSTI offers custom rotary unions with integrated rotary sensors that provide customers with orientation data directly from the rotary union assembly. The "smart" rotary union pictured here was designed for the Marine Industry and includes both a rotary sensor and integrated slipring. The client had precise shaft rotational requirements and DSTI offered an integrated rotary sensor to meet those specifications. This union was also manufactured to operate in extreme environments and was used as part of a propulsion system for barges.
