The 48V lithium ion battery mild hybrid battery test bench measures the energy flow of 48-volt lithium-ion battery pack under the simulation environment of start-stop and regenerating braking in actual mild hybrid electric vehicle (MHEV). The simulation system replaces the actual vehicle engine with a precise motor for engine simulation and stores the voltage and current values of battery, motor, integrated starter-generator (ISG), charger and discharger as curves or Excel file. The mild hybrid system, which utilize 48V Li-ion battery and motor to assist gasoline engine, has been gaining attention in the vehicle markets. This mild hybrid electric vehicle technology can improve fuel consumption of passenger cars by providing extra power assistance from battery-driven motor to the original gasoline engine power.
