Compared to other cylinders, the DyneCell is one of the lightest on the market. Classified as a type 3 cylinder, the DyneCell is:
Approximately four times lighter than all-steel or aluminium tanks (type 1 cylinders)
Approximately one-third of the weight of steel or aluminium cylinders reinforced with filament wrapping (type 2 cylinders)
Up to 20% lighter than other cylinders on the market consisting of metal liner reinforced with filament wrapping (type 3 cylinders)
Up to 18% lighter than cylinders with non-metallic liners (such as plastic) with resin impregnated filament wrappings (type 4 cylinders)
