The new series PS 8000 3U extends the previous series PS 8000 2U by a lot of new models with power ratings from 3.3kW up to 15kW in 19" rack housings and 3U height, also configurable into cabinet systems of up to 150kW and up to 42U upon customer requirements.

Output voltages between 40V and 1500V, output currents between 30A and 5100A and output powers between 3.3kW and 150kW are available. The output terminal is located in the rear panel. All models are equipped with a flexible auto-ranging output stage to provide a higher output voltage by reduced output current or a higher output current by reduced output voltage, always regulated by the maximum output power. So, a wide application spectrum can already be covered by one unit. The 40V models are made to meet the requirements of the low-voltage directive.

The standard built-in analogue interface, as well as various digital interfaces for retrofit offer the user plenty of opportunities for remote control, including software for USB/RS232 interfaces. Other options like high speed ramping (significantly decreased ramp-up/ramp-down times), water cooling and a galvanically isolated, analogue interface (max. 1500V DC) round the portfolio up.
