Product Description
Eastman has been a producer of high-quality cellulose acetate fibers and yarns since 1931. Unexcelled technology and raw materials are key foundations of these businesses. Eastman Chromspun solution-dyed, acetate yarn is used in draperies, linings, bedspreads, apparel fabrics, and ribbons. Consisting of pure cellulose acetate, Eastman Estron acetate yarn is available in bright and dull lusters. Solution-dyed colors are marketed under the trademark Eastman Chromspun acetate yarn, having the same generic composition as Eastman Estron yarn except for coloring agents added at the dope stage before the yarn is spun. This process, known as dope-dyeing or solution-dyeing, generally affords much better fade resistance than normal dyeing methods which take place after the yarn has been spun.
