EBNER bright annealing technology uses straight hydrogen as process atmosphere, features a muffle furnace and variable flow in the jet cooler to achieve the best mechanical properties, cleanest surface finish and flat strip geometry during the processing of austenitic or ferritic material. Apart from the excellent quality obtainable, these annealers boast a very high level of operational safety and low maintenance requirements, which together with the low process atmosphere and fuel gas consumption add up to extremely low processing costs per ton of material annealed. Specially-developed seal systems at the furnace inlet and cooler outlet cut process atmosphere losses and enable ultra-thin strip to be processed.
