Leakage current tester

This is an instrument for the measurement of leakage current on domestic appliances and electromechanical and electro-medical equipment using a single phase supply and following standards CEI 62-5 and EN60335-1.

The instrument supplies a voltage (0-260Vac) to the equipment under test, up to a 200W limit (Model 6160) and up to 3000W (Model 6160/3).
The instrument is able to carry out either cold checks (i.e. when the equipment under test isn't powered) or checks on fully powered equipment.

Both the power supply voltage and leakage current (to ground and to parts insulated from the two power supply wires) can be read directly on a digital indicator featuring 3 ½ digit.

The system is protected against short circuits and other fault conditions.

In addition to the leakage current to ground, the instrument is capable of measuring leakage currents to the casing and to the patient (electro medical appliance).
