The TECHSPEC® line of Germanium infrared (IR) aspheric lenses is ideal to use for monochromatic light sources such as those found in quantum casade lasers. The lenses permit a diffraction limited focusing performance over a broad spectral range within the mid to long wave infrared regions, and are an excellent high-efficiency alternative to the standard plano-convex lenses. There is a range of BBAR coating options to choose from and each lens is available to purchase uncoated too. Uncoated germanium lenses possess a transmission of 95% with a <0.5% reflection, and as a result are very suitable for integration into a multitude of OEM applications.
