High pressure regulator for diesel injection EFS ELECTRONIQUE
The HPR module ensures the
regulation of high pressure in the
“common rail” diesel
injection systems.
The device is driven by a PC
through a RS485 serial link.
It is powered by a 115Vac or
230Vac 50/60 Hz supply and by
an 10 to 36V DC supply (battery
simulator) for actuators
command.

SYSTEM COMPOSITION
The module shows up as a 3U 19” rack.
The system is composed of :
• A CPU board that processes the information and performs the numerical
adjustment of the pressure
• A pressure sensor conditioning board :
Input signals : 0-5V or 0-32mA
Sensor supply output : +5V or +12Vdc
The actuator command boards supply can be external (connector on the
back plane) or internal (optional supply board).
It is possible to load up to 4 actuator driving boards in the same rack.
These boards allow different types of pressure regulation :
• asynchronous regulation on the rail
• output regulation of the high pressure pump
• input regulation of the high pressure pump and low pressure output
• input regulation of the low pressure pump.
Each board can drive 2 actuators (allowing to drive up to 8 actuators with
4 boards).
TYPICAL USE
The HPR is connected to the supervisor through a RS485 (MODBUS) link.
The exchanged informations are :
• pressure value set point
• type of used actuator : type 1 to 32
• regulator fault status
• time of pressure measure command
• connected sensors parameters (linearity and full scale).
• instant pressure measurement.
