inadequate. The AL-6XN® alloy is a super-austenitic stainless
steel designed to resist crevice corrosion, pitting, chloride-
induced corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and applications
which may come in contact with salts during high temperature
processes. AL-6XN® alloy is non-magnetic and its magnetic
permeability remains low even after severe cold forming
operations.
Originally developed for seawater applications, the AL-6XN®
alloy is used successfully in pharmaceutical, and
bi©pharmaceutical services. It is successful with fine chemical,
cosmetic, bulk pharmaceutical, desalination, semi-conductor,
and gas handling applications.
