Biometric sensor: fingerprint reader Eiffel Digital Image TechnologyEFD-800 is composed of Eiffeltech’s Fingerprint Recognition Module EFM800, control circuit, communication interface, display panel, and keyboard. With different standard interfaces, it has excellent capability to meet different application requirements. Equipped with output electrical relay, it can be directly connected to any electrical locks with motor. It can be connected to central controller with Weigan standard interface. It is able to operate in standalone mode and exchange data with computers by network interface (e.g. transfer of fingerprint template and record of entrance and exit history, etc.). With Eiffeltech’s attendance time software, EFD-800 can be used as attendance time checking. It is also completely compatible with standard controller for door access via Weigan interface. If you have already installed controller and card reader or keypad reader and want to upgrade to fingerprint access control, then the only thing need to do is to replace old reader with EFD800.
The core technology of EFD800 uses true skin fingerprint sensor (FR alive skin sensor), which can “see” inner layer of skin (alive skin) instead of top layer of skin (dead skin). The main advantage of the product with true skin fingerprint sensor lies in the high capability to recognize fingerprints under various conditions. Not only it has high recognition rate (very low False Rejection Rate: FRR) for ideal fingerprints but also it keeps high recognition rate for fingerprints from non-ideal fingers, such as dry fingers, light textured fingers, abraded fingers, rough fingers, old peoples’ fingers, fingers with oil, dust, and ink, etc.
