The SH-10 consists of a blade mounted on a rotary solenoid with a limited rotation angle. The SH-20 shutter consists of blades mounted on rotary solenoids. When the shutter is powered, the blade moves to the "ON" position and clears the path for the laser beam. When the power is turned off, the return spring of the shutter moves the blade to the "OFF" position and blocks the laser beam. The standard blade material is 0.1" thick anodized aluminum; to meet laser specifications, other materials or thickness are available.
