The SC-40 type scanners are low cost custom scanners designed for use in extremely high accuracy and repeatability applications. A large size mirror (30×20×5mm or larger) is mounted on an open mirror frame using flex bearings. The construction is rugged and guarantees low wobble (<1 arc sec.), low jitter (<0.001%), and good resistance to shock and vibrations. The open frame assembly allows the use of both sides of the mirror. The scanners can operate at a scan angle of 45° peak-to-peak optical and with an amplitude stability of more than 99.99%, making it most valuable for large optical beams or simultaneous imaging of multiple optical beams
