The SEL-1150 electro-optic level sensors maintain the topperforming
environmental capabilities of their larger family
members while featuring an overall size of about 35 mm.
The SEL-1150 units represent the smallest electro-optic level
sensor in its performance class, and by far the most
economical. Unlike other optic sensors, the SEL-1150
Series utilizes a strong, glass prism fused to a nickel-plated
carbon steel housing to easily monitor vessels pressurized up to
172 bar. Operating temperature range is a broad -40°C to
100°C. Their compact package size makes them the ideal
candidate for monitoring the small, pressurized vessels found in
HVAC, refrigeration and hydraulic applications.
They are most commonly used for low, high and intermediate
level detection.
Their glass prism works in conjunction with an infrared LED and
TTL/CMOS-compatible solid-state circuitry to provide ultrareliable
liquid level detection and transistorized switch action
with no moving parts.
