Our Frame grabber lines Our Framegrabbers are divided into two families accommodating the different performance categories. Cards with PCI interface are all named p3i, those for the new PCI Express bus are once again called PC_EYE p3i_QUADRO, p3i_ASYNC and p3i_RGB are designs based on FPGAs; which albeit costly to develop, yield reasonable series costs and superior long-term security. In addition, they offer maximum flexibility in terms of camera selection. It goes without saying that they support restart cameras as well as non-standard formats. p3i_MONO is the entry level model; a basic monochrome grabber that supports industrial cameras. p3i_DIG is a development using an FPGA-based PCI core to allow the connection of parallel digital cameras. Version p3i_CL operates cameras following the camera link standard. p3i_SEC addresses the unique requirements of the security market; offering 16 parallel color inputs for minimum switching times along with up to four parallel recording channels. As options, two of them can be equipped with JPEG compression hardware. PMC Framegrabbers p3i_MOCO/PMC and p3i_ASYNC/PMC are mezzanine versions of their "big brothers" p3i_MONO or p3i_CVBS and of course p3i_ASYNC.
