In 1992, EMAG was the world's first manufacturer to introduce a turning machine with a vertical overhead work spindle that traversed the main axes. With this design EMAG stood the classic turning machine concept on its head. Every VSC machine is a manufacturing cell that utilizes the pick-up spindle to load itself. Another advantage for the customer: the VSC machine can be tailored to suit individual manufacturing requirements.
