Thermoplastic enclosures are light, their impact resistance is very high and they are easy to clean. In addition, they are easily mounted and machined.

Polycarbonate is suitable for demanding conditions and also for outdoor use. The temperature resistance of polycarbonate ranges from -50 °C to +120 °C.

ABS is a more cost-effective material than polycarbonate. However, it is only suitable for indoor use. ABS has good resistance to certain chemicals, e.g. strong detergents used in dairies.
