The LPR - Low Pressure Regulation - enables to adjust pressure with which the water soluble polymer solution is injected in the well during the oil recovery process. Description : The main objective of the LPR technology is to enable an adjustable pressure drop without creating a shearing effect or deterioration of the polymer. The pressure regulation system is made up of several modules connected in a series up to the main conduit, each module being made of pipes with the same diameter but of varying lengths. The system enables to adjust the drop in pressure by adjusting the length of the tubes through which the solution flows. This adjustment is possible by opening and closing modules with automatic or manual valves without substantially deteriorating the viscosity of the solution while it passs through the module.
