Pre-expander for expanded polystyrene (EPS)

Continual processing Erlenbach pre-expanding unit for EPS materials from 15 - 50g/l volume weight. The work silo is directly filled from the delivery container using a compressed air conveyor nozzle (optionally with a raw material screw conveyor). The material reaches the foam cylinder by way of a controllable raw material dosing screw.

The EPS material is foamed through tangentially-injected steam while being agitated and is discharged via the (height-adjustable) discharge outlet. The bulk weight regulation of 15. 22g/l is carried out by the controllable screw conveyor or via the adjustable discharge outlet (for over 22g/l by using controlled addition of air.)

Performance characteristics of the type EVK pre-expanding unit:

- Greater material throughput at medium bulk densities of approx. 17 - 25g/l.
