FLOTATION TEST MACHINE
A bench top laboratory apparatus for establishing the percentage of reagents in a production flotation cell and for metallurgical test work.
This versatile unit is used in metallurgical laboratories to perform agitation, attrition scrubbing and blending tests that can be replicated in a production environment. The variable speed control is complete with digital readout of the rotating speed of the impeller for greater accuracy, optimum speed control and repeatability. Feed back capability is available as an optional extra. The unit is also supplied as standard with integrated air pressure and volume controls complete with read-out.
The test cells and their corresponding impellers are supplied as optional extras. The standard cells are of clear see-through acrylic in 0.5, 1.75, 3.0 and 5.0 litre capacity. The drive motor is 0.75 kW, for connection to a single phase power supply.
ATTRITIONER
Conditioning, which is one of the main principles of flotation testing, comprises changes in both mineral surfaces and in the composition of the aqueous solution. Activation is where such changes in surface as aid collection of the changed particle.
Essa attritioners are custom designed specifically for attrition mixing and, hence, facilitate activation conditioning. They are inherently robust in construction with chambers and stirrers engineered from stainless steel. They provide the mechanical treatment of pulp designed to rub particle surfaces with sufficient vigour to detach slimes and other relatively gross loosely adherent coatings.
