ETITEC COAX is a co-axial cable surge protection suitable for passing DC and RF signals up to 3000 MHZ (transmission is limited by connector type). The CCP co-axial cable protector is designed to be connected in series with the co-axial cable, as close to the equipment being protected as practical, such as base station of mobile telephony, TV net, wireless applications, control video, cameras etc. Protection is provided by a gas-filled surge arrester. Under normal conditions the RF signal passes through the protector with minimal attenuation. In the event of a transient over-voltage, the gasfilled surge arrester reduces the voltage between the inner and outer conductors of the co-axial cable to a safety value for the equipment.
