Description

Groating, Flaking Oats, Rice, Spelt, Wheat, Rye, Barley No machine is more efficient: The SCHULE drum groat cutter boasts the best space/performance ratio. Via a continuously adjustable vibrating channel, the grain is fed into two perforated drums made of stainless steel mounted on a horizontal shaft. Buckets arranged in the drums ensure uniform distribution of the product to be cut. Excess quantities are discharged through an overflow. The drums are provided with holes, the diameter of which depends on the type of grain to be cut. The precision knife basket without wedges that surrounds the lower half of the rotating drum ensures the perfect cut. The grains fall lengthwise through the drum holes, are caught by the knives and cross-cut into particles just a few millimetres in size. The exact size is determined by the cutting angle, which can be varied by different knife baskets. As a result, coarse, medium, or fine groats can be produced. Pinwheels arranged above the supporting frame prevent the holes from clogging. A plansifter or an indented cylinder can be used for subsequent classification.
