Paring a floating anvil press with a dedicated die allows for automatic standoff height measurement and eliminates changeovers. Complete system shown here consisting of the floating anvil press and floating anvil dedicated die. Automatic Standoff Control patent #4,907,628. A micrometer controls standoff, the system requires 110/1/60 Voltage standard, 220 Voltage optional and 80-100 psi of air pressure.

WHY DO I NEED, OR SHOULD CONSIDER, FLOATING ANVIL TECHNOLOGY?
Quadpacks are located using the lead frame corners with tapered lead-in for easy loading and unloading.
The body of the part floats free when the leads are clamped to insure no stress is transferred to the body of the device being formed.
Floating Anvil System (F-1F series) uses stepper motor controls and microprocessor to automatically position the moveable form anvils each time the press cycles for the most accurate standoff control.
See the Floating Anvil Sequence of Operation
Optional semi-automatic handling system is available to move parts from a matrix tray into the tool and out again.
*For Quads: Tie Bars and/or Tie Bar Corners need to be removed prior to using this model tool.
*Optional corner cutting for tie bars is available for most Quads.
