Robot controller with integrated vision system FANUC Robotics

FANUC has been developing vision systems since 1994. Based on this proven experience, iRVision is the latest and the most consequent technology to ensure top level robotics vision.

The new R-30iA controller provides an integrated 2D vision system to speed-up the installation of vision applications. This 100% FANUC solution brings a reliable and efficient solution for all complex robotics applications.

2D iRVision is used for reliable part location and orientation, and offers:
- the possible selection of specific areas to be viewed or ignored
- simplified parts location, as no additional tooling is necessary
- various parts setting for the camera

It can easily be extended to 2D and 3D options that will be available within the end of the year.

2D options:
- 2D vision shift to compensate some position gaps between the offline program and the real configuration
- 2D visual line tracking for accurate tracking of parts on a conveyor (extendable to Dual Arm with 2 robot arms)

3D options:
- 3D vision for enhanced accuracy in parts location
- 3D vision bin picking for unmanned handling (e.g.. in machine tending applications)
- 3D compensation
