Miniature force sensor FemtoTools

The FemtoTools force sensing probes stand for both highly precise and highly sensitive force sensing tools in the micro and nanodomain. They allow you to sense forces down to several nanoNewton (10-9N) with sub-micronewton resolution.

Conventional force sensors are usually based on strain gauges and can measure forces down to milli-Newton (10-3N). Our FT-S270 and the FT-S540 sensors are based on the same technology that has already been successfully applied to the fabrication of accelerometers in the automobile industry and enables a unique force sensing range filling the gap of force sensing solutions between the atomic force microscope (AFM) and conventional force sensors.

The individual calibration of the FT-S270 and the FT-S540 force sensors guarantee significantly higher measurement accuracy and readout speed than any other force sensing system in this force range. A calibration data sheet is delivered for each individual sensor.
