Ferrofluid-based seals are non-contact groove seals that operate under the same principle as water seals. The major difference being the ferrofluid is suspended in the working gaps between mating parts by a magnetic field. At present FerroLabs develops and manufactures both standard line of ferrofluid-based products and custom design projects with respect to clients' specifications.
