SM980 will guide both 980 nm pump and 1550 nm signal wavelengths, has a perfectly matched-clad structure and excellent geometry, facilitating both the fabrication of low-loss 980/1550 WDMs, fusion-splicing and laser-pigtailing operations. New SM980(4.5/80) has been introduced for 'Metro' or for any application in which small form-factor is important - it is ideal for use in conjunction with Fibercore MetroGain™ M12/980/80 HB980T and HB1480T are polarisation maintaining fibers designed specifically for the polarisation multiplexing of 980 nm and 1480 nm pump-diodes for high-power EDFAs. Both fibers offer excellent geometry and mode-field diameters matched to those of comparable non-PM fibers, to facilitate laser pigtailing.
