HiBi is a singlemode, polarization-maintaining optical fiber designed for high-performance interferometric and polarimetric sensors, integrated optics and coherent communications. The characteristic ‘Bow-Tie’ stress-applying parts, or ‘SAPs’, act like opposing wedges to generate the optimum stress distribution within the fiber.
