The CADDY machines are mechanical shears with horizontal slide, designed to operate in full automatic mode starting from the bar bundle up to the unloading of the slugs. The continuous evolution of our billet shears by using the latest technology and materials, allows Ficep CADDY series to offer unique features. AUTOMATIC WEIGHING A system for automatic weighing and selection of the slugs in weight classes can be supplied with the shear to optimize the process. LASER CONTROL Before the shearing operation, the bars’ dimensional tolerances are controlled thanks to an optional laser system to guarantee the highest precision. BARS PRE-HEATING Thanks to the possibility of cutting almost any type of material, the CADDY billet shears are ahead of the forging processes in the widest of possible application fields. Even the most critical materials can be cut easily and without cracks thanks to the bars pre-heating option. SHEAR ROTATION The shear can rotate to allow an oriented angle of the blades, which together with the rake, ensures the achievement of perfect shearing surfaces.
