Indexable milling head

The MBSH/55 indexed bi-rotary head has been designed to provide medium-sized machines with a spindle that can be oriented and which has high stock removal capacity and high rpm.
The head is compact and asymmetric for better penetration of deep dies and moulds, while the spindle axis at 60 mm from that of the C axis extends the operating field of the machine on which it is applied.
Positioning accuracy and locking rigidity are guaranteed by the meshing of HIRT hydraulically controlled fine pitch crown gears. The positioning of both axes is by brushless motors.
A ring of nozzles ensures a plentiful supply of tool coolant, while an independent nozzle provides minimum lubrication.
The light alloy spindle allows for the passage of temperature controlled fluid. Lubrication of the bearings is the minimum type, while an oil recovery device also enables the head to be used on materials that are sensitive to oils.
