Semiconductor air quality sensor Figaro Engineering
Figaro has two semiconductor type air quality sensors. TGS2600 has high sensitivity to various gaseous air contaminents such as the gases found in cigarette smoke, while TGS2602 shows good sensitivity to volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and odorous gases (such as H2S). By combining these sensors with signal processing, the TGS260x series can be interfaced with ventilation and air conditioning systems to protect the air that you breathe.
TGS2600 - Gas sensor for general air contaminants
This sensor has high sensitivity to various gaseous air contaminents such as those found in cigarette smoke. It is ideally suited for the detection of the gases found in cigarette smoke and for usage in devices such as air purifiers and air conditioning systems. Compared with competing MOS sensors, TGS2600 has a longer useful life and is less costly.
TGS2602 - VOC sensor
With ultra high sensitivity to volatile organic compounds and odorous gases which can be noxious as well as presenting a variety of health hazards, TGS2602 is designed for usage in VOC monitors as well as devices for automating ventilation and air conditioning. Compared to photo ionization sensors, TGS2602 delivers higher sensitivity with longer life and lower cost.
