Cartridges of the ASCOCLEAR Series are pleated filtration elements using glass micro fibre media thereby optimising the filtration surface. It is an absolute media (99,98%.), which can present even higher efficiency due to the properties of glass micro fibres. Indeed, in aqueous solutions glass micro fibres become positively charged adding electrostatic attraction of reverse charged particles to the effect of mechanical filtration (trapping even particles smaller than the pores). With contaminants of colloidal nature it increases the media efficiency despite the already excellent filtration efficiency of the glass micro fibres. The absence of resins or adhesives, the conformity of materials to FDA and USP standards and the manufacture in a certified clean room allow the use of the cartridges in critical processes such as pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food and beverage or biotechnology.
