These situations occur when an anode is placed in the cell and crust residues impede its proper horizontal positioning. When these residues dissolve or crumble, they allow the anode to move, causing slippage of the anode. The anode clamps are tested in Fives’ laboratory using both endurance tests and functional tests in order to ensure maximum reliability and efficiency.
