Description

Industrial oven for polymerization and post-cure of composite structures at 250°C for a large industrial group in the aeronautics and defence industries. A completely bespoke design This 18m3 oven is based on the XXL ovens model but is split in two sections to make easier the transport by truck. An insulating plate is placed under the oven to protect the ground of the room in which the oven is located. Each door leaf has a closing handle guaranteeing optimal leak tightness. In order to prevent operators from getting caught by accident inside the oven, an inner handle is installed. The oven has two ventilation groups giving a perfect thermal homogeneity throughout the working volume. An air extractor helps to discharge change air to the air outlet ducts. When the oven is working, heating and ventilation are cut off at each door opening to protect the operator against very warm air currents. Temperature control is ensured by a controller allowing to create up to 4 programs of 16 segments. A 3-channel recorder saves temperatures measured by a fixed probe located in the working volume and by two flying probes. An emergency stop allows to completely stop the oven in case of malfunction detected by an operator. A 3-colours stack light indicates a malfunctioning, a cycle in progress or a finished cycle. So the operator is advised of the oven state.
