WinGSM, a versatile Windows based software package, handles serial data communication between the PC and the unit, provides SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) functions, and includes a user-friendly Configurator utility. These SCADA functions include logging of data received from the unit to the PC’s memory, providing comprehensive screen displays, and allow inputs to be read and outputs to be set on-line from the PC (either by manual intervention, or automatically under program control). The Configurator allows the operator to enter a password and then set up the GSM-2110 / -4110, program alarm set-points, and enter alarm messages to be stored in the unit. The WinGSM software package is supplied with each GSM-2110 unit.
